Zaha Hadid

Abu Dhabi Performing Arts Center

 She describes the structure as a “biological analogy” whose primary components (branches, stems, fruits, and leaves) are then “transformed from these abstract diagrams into architectonic design.” 



Chicago Eco-Pavilion

 Hadid’s curvilinear pavilion will be constructed out of fabric stretched over an aluminum frame.




Neil Barrett flagship, Tokyo

This design creates a circular passage allowing the customer to experience the space in multiple ways and interpretations. 
 In two formal elements the design shifts between architecture and sculpture, where a compact mass of surface layers unravel and fold to form the shelving display and seating.
