She describes the structure as a “biological analogy” whose primary components (branches, stems, fruits, and leaves) are then “transformed from these abstract diagrams into architectonic design.”

Hadid’s curvilinear pavilion will be constructed out of fabric stretched over an aluminum frame.

This design creates a circular passage allowing the customer to experience the space in multiple ways and interpretations.
In two formal elements the design shifts between architecture and sculpture, where a compact mass of surface layers unravel and fold to form the shelving display and seating.

Rouge Tomate offers a unique restaurant experience rooted in timeless interior design

Built on the grounds of the old Copacabana nightclub in Manhattan, Rouge Tomate Restaurant brings a chic and modern sophistication to the dining experience.  The two-story, 15,000 square foot restaurant includes a bar/lounge upstairs and fine dining below.  Special features include private suites and a semiprivate dining area that look onto a pool, a central dining room with an open display kitchen, as well as glass artwork which descends from the first floor to the basement unifying the two floors.

Horton Lees Brogden developed a lighting plan to enhance the design and color woven throughout the restaurant, creating a sense of drama and contrast within the relaxed atmosphere. Sumptuous textures and sustainable design were part of the vision set forth by the design team led by Bentel & Bentel.
