Great Bamboo

Bamboo is the stuff of green dreams these days. Not only is it a winning combination of strong, lightweight and flexible; it also scores highly in the sustainable stakes, being super fast growing and easy to harvest locally in many parts of the world.

Rapidly renewable resource: it’s strong, pliable, and pretty good looking. Kengo Kuma's (great) is the
first project using bamboo as a symbolic element of design.

Carpet tiles

Carpet tiles allow you to mix and match designs and colors according to your tastes and your individual room requirements. The added flexibility of removing a single tile for cleaning, replacement or redesign makes using tiles rather than traditional carpeting a favorite design choice.

CARPET TILES ARE VERY EASY TO INSTALL

LUCY'S CARPET TILE HOUSE

The project is made of otherwise non-recyclable carpet tiles transforming them into a single family home. The 72,000 stacked tiles are held in compression by a heavy wooden ring-beam. They are so compact that water has yet to penetrate them and they do not burn b/c no oxygen can enter.
